Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience Airport Transfer Information & Camp Frequently Asked Questions

For participants in the residential programs, a bus transfer service is available from Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) (Terminal 4) / Atocha Train Station to the residence at the start of the program, and back at the end of the program. This service facilitates arrival and departure for children traveling by plane or train, reduces logistics for families, ensures that participants are accompanied by campus staff from the moment they arrive until they reach the residence, and likewise guarantees supervised transport from the residence to the Airport / Atocha Train Station at the end of the program.

The service is available on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 21:00 (9 p.m.) (check-in for Campus Experience Residential and Campus MAX Residential), on Fridays from 19:00 (7:00 p.m.) to 12:00 midnight (check-out for Campus Experience Residential), and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (check-out for Campus MAX Residential). If arriving or departing outside these time slots, please contact us.

It is essential to book the unaccompanied minor service for both the outbound and return flights and to notify Campus Experience in advance by providing the flight details and airline information.

Children traveling alone with the “Unaccompanied Minor” service:

(Unaccompanied Minor (UM) is a paid service offered by many airlines (usually for children 14-15 years old and under only) meaning that your child is escorted by airline staff during his trip, through the airport and passport control/customs and that the camp staff are required to sign for receipt of your child. Most airlines will also charge a fee for this service. IMPORTANT: it is not because your child travel alone that he is Unaccompanied Minor (UM), it is only if you have this service with the airline!)

In this case, a member of the Campus Experience team will enter the terminal with official accreditation and the required documentation to meet the participant directly at the flight’s arrival gate. On the return day, the same procedure will be followed in reverse: campus staff will accompany the participant to the airline counter, complete the check-in process, and hand them over to the designated airline representative.

It is essential to book the unaccompanied minor service for both the outbound and return flights and to notify Campus Experience in advance by providing the flight details and airline information.

Participants must arrive on the first date of the camp and leave on the last date of the camp as mentioned on your registration.

Outside the hours mentioned above, additional fees will apply for your transfer.

Check local requirements for children travelling without their parents or legal guardian (Unaccompanied Minor (UM, check Airlines Services for UM) – each country has specific requirements and may require written consent and/or identity documents.

This service applies to nights before or after the stay, as well as between weeks for participants registered for more than one week.

It is of vital importance that all necessary flight details are sent to Soccer Camps International with the booking form or as soon as available. Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience requires the exact flight information, including dates, airlines, flight numbers, arrival and departure terminals, and flight times at the latest 4 weeks before camp starts.

Campus Experience is a summer educational program for boys and girls aged 7 to 17, organized by the Real Madrid Foundation. Its aim is to offer a unique learning experience that combines football practice with educational activities focused on values such as leadership, effort, self-control, teamwork, and respect. Through training sessions, workshops, and team-building activities, participants develop both their athletic and personal skills in a safe and professional environment.

Campus Experience MAX is a program designed for boys and girls ages 9 to 17 who already have a solid soccer foundation. For this reason, it is only offered in Day Camp and Residential formats. Campus Experience, on the other hand, is designed for any child who loves soccer, regardless of their skill level, and is offered in Day Camp (ages 7–16), and Residential (ages 9–17) formats.

In addition, Campus Experience MAX has a lower coach-to-participant ratio, allowing for a more intensive and personalized experience (although all sessions are still conducted in group format). It also includes more hours of on-field work, with one additional hour of training per day compared to the standard Campus Experience program.

Participants in Campus Experience MAX receive two official kits (one white and one black) plus a boot bag, while in the regular Campus Experience programs (except the Residential Program), participants receive only one kit.

Finally, the training facilities differ between both programs:
Campus Experience MAX is primarily held in Villaviciosa, Campus Experience takes place mainly at Ciudad Real Madrid. However, both programs include two to three training sessions per week at Ciudad Real Madrid (Valdebebas).

Campus Experience takes place every summer in the Community of Madrid, between June and August. Sports activities are held at Real Madrid Sports City (Valdebebas) and other municipal sports centers in the region. The venue may vary depending on the chosen program.

Each camp provides a sports experience as well as a cultural experience. Many of the participants will experience something different from home as they will be in a foreign country with a different way of living. For most of the camps, participants will experience the local cuisine, special times for meals (early meals in northern Europe, late meals in southern Europe) as per the culture of the country, showers after training sessions, typical entertainment at the camp as per the country’s summer camp culture, early or late bedtimes based on the country’s living habits and more. If you feel that your child will have difficulties to adapt to a new way of living, then we recommend that you wait until your child is of an age where they will be ready to do so.

Real Madrid has a scouting network to identify talented youngsters. Participants need to make an impression for their local club/team. You cannot apply for a trial through Campus Experience.

All meals are served in the residence dining hall or at the training facilities, in organized group shifts and always under staff supervision. The dining service is managed by a professional catering team that prepares balanced menus tailored to the participants’ nutritional needs.

The participants are grouped according to their age.
