Benfica Soccer Camp in Lisbon, Portugal is an official 2026 Elite Football Camp Program developed by Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the most famous Portuguese football team in the world, for boys and girls from ages 13 – 18 who want to develop and improve their sporting performance at a Benfica Camp.
Sport Lisboa e Benfica Football Club will put at the participants’ disposal the knowledge and soccer programs that made it a world reference in the elite football training of young athletes.
This soccer / football program is only designed for those who play soccer in a soccer club and have a license in a club.
Coaching sessions will be done in Portuguese and English by the Benfica Club Coaches!

SL Benfica
Benfica is the most successful Portuguese Soccer Club in terms of overall international trophies for a total of 86 titles and the only one to have won all Portuguese competitions. They have won a record 38 Primeira Liga Portuguese titles (the first team to win the league undefeated), and 26 Portuguese Cup Titles. Internationally, Benfica won two consecutive European Cup titles (Actual UEFA Champion’s League) in 1961 and 1962.
Benfica SL was the club of Eusébio da Silva Ferreira. Eusébio is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time. During his professional career, he scored 638 goals with Benfica.

Methodology
The training schedules will consist of 4 hours of practice per day during each session, and will be developed by Benfica coaches accredited by both the Portuguese Football Federation and UEFA.
Developed by Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Elite Training Camps is a program for players that want to develop and improve their sporting performance.
The participants will be divided by age groups according to their age/level, and a specific technical and tactical training program will be implemented in each of the groups. In addition, you will also have the possibility of being observed and evaluated by Sport Lisboa e Benfica’s Technical and Scouting Departments.
The methodology applied in Elite Training Camps will be the same SL Benfica uses in the training of its athletes and which guarantees the sustainability of its professional squads. Through specific training that Sport Lisboa e Benfica will provide, you will be able to develop your technical, tactical, physical and psychological skills. Aspects like, running technique, relationship with the ball, tactical circulation and attacking and defensive game principles will be worked on a daily basis in both individual and collective contexts.
Accredited by the Portuguese Football Federation and UEFA, the SL Benfica coaches are decisive elements in the development of the Club’s young athletes. It will be them following your evolution during Elite Training Camps. The technical director in charge is UEFA A License and UEFA “Elite Youth”.
Goalkeeper training is also available during the camp for both boys and girls.

Camp check-in in person is on Sunday afternoon between 15:00 (3:00pm) to 17:00 (5:00pm) at Benfica Campus and self check-out is on Saturday in the early afternoon after lunch from 14:30 (2:30pm) at Benfica Campus.

How do international students travel from Lisbon Airport to the Benfica camp?
The camp provides a supervised airport transfer service from Humberto Delgado Lisbon (LIS) Airport directly to the accommodation site. Camp staff meet students in the public arrivals hall holding a prominent sign and escort them to the venue. Arrival transfers are on Sundays (morning) and departure transfers on Saturdays (afternoon), following the closing ceremony.
What are the requirements for players to attend the Benfica Elite Training Camp?
This is an intensive program designed for serious athletes. Participants must be registered or licensed club players at home. The sessions are tailored for boys and girls (ages 13-18) who already have experience playing in a competitive club environment and are looking to experience professional training at the world-renowned Benfica Campus.
Where do the coaching sessions and residential life take place?
Players experience a professional football lifestyle. Soccer training sessions are held at the Benfica Campus, the club’s official training center. Residential accommodations are hosted at the Crowne Plaza Caparica Lisbon Hotel, where students stay in double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, providing a high standard of comfort and security.
What level of supervision and nutrition is provided at the camp?
Safety and performance are managed 24/7. Camp staff reside on-site at the hotel and the campus to ensure constant supervision. Furthermore, all meals are designed and supervised by the SL Benfica Department of Nutrition, ensuring that elite players receive the correct balance of nutrients for high-performance training.
Can friends share a room together at the Benfica camp?
Yes, roommate requests can be made during the online registration process. The camp primarily uses double rooms at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
