West Ham United Foundation International Soccer Academy in London, England is pleased to offer this world-leading soccer camp which will allow campers to have the soccer experience of a lifetime with training at the West Ham United Complex Training Ground while experiencing the professional training methods that have made elite players worldwide. An unforgettable soccer camp experience for Boys from 10 to 17 years old, Girls from 10 to 17 years old, as well as Goalkeeper Boys and Girls from 12 to 17 years old. Soccer Club players can enroll in the High Performance sessions while players do not have to belong to a soccer club in order to enroll in the Development sessions.

Residential Camps and Day Camps are available.

Train with West Ham United Foundation International Soccer Academy

You will receive soccer training in an academy system widely-recognized as the best in the UK. You will have the opportunity to experience soccer training delivered by a leading Premiership club and experience what it takes to train in a professional soccer environment. In addition to the use of the latest video-analysis technology and training techniques, participants will have the opportunity to participate in the camp’s pro-experience seminars which are delivered by West Ham United Foundation’s staff and cover areas including scouting/player identification, nutrition and physical conditioning as well as other specialist areas. Soccer Only Camps as well as Soccer Camps with English Language Classes (additional fee required) are available for the West Ham United Foundation International Soccer Academy.

PLEASE NOTE:  The camp will endeavor to deliver Girls only sessions, however should the minimum number of Girls participants needed for the group not be met, any girls enrolled will be mixed with the boys groups.

Three Different Session Options to Choose From:

  • Development Session (players do not have to belong to a soccer club):

    The Development program is designed for Boys from 10 – 17 years old and Girls from 10 – 17 years old who do not have to belong to a soccer club but who wish to improve their soccer skills. This program is designed for players who are at a standard level and/or are aiming to go into the high performance level. Coaching sessions are aimed to develop the soccer skills of participants including agility, positioning, ball control, passing and moving, formations and tactics but also the ability to attack and defend. 

  • High Performance Session (club level players only):

    The High Performance program is designed for Boys from 10 – 17 years old and Girls from 10 – 17 years old who belong to a Soccer Club. This program is designed for players already playing at a high level and aims to take participants to the next level through training methods and techniques developed for professional teams. Training covers all areas of technical skills, tactical skills, physical conditioning and psychological techniques to provide a comprehensive and rewarding program. 

  • Goalkeeper Option (available for Development and High Performance sessions from July 4 to July 17):

    For Boy Goalkeepers and Girl Goalkeepers (Coed) from 12 – 17 years old who want to focus on goalkeeper training, the camp offers specific goalkeeper training according to their level.

Option only: English Classes as a Second Language (British Council accredited)

The Soccer and English Camps incorporate 16 hours of soccer training plus 15 hours of English classes per week.

English Classes are created exclusively by Choices International, accredited by British Council with excellence for the teaching of English and will take place at the University of East London Campus.

Language instruction uses a fun, participation approach to learning and emphasizes spoken language skills.

The optional program is specifically designed for children with an interest in soccer and includes a range of role-plays, pair-work and activities. The program develops English skills within a soccer context.

Students receive 15 hours of English lessons per week (optional, additional fee required), taught by qualified teachers in classes of a maximum size of 15 students. Students are tested on arrival, and placed in classes with other students of approximately the same level.

English teachers give seminars on Wednesdays which incorporate video analysis of matches but also cover important aspects such as tactics, techniques, nutrition and sports psychology as part of the soccer program.
