INFRASTRUCTURES

During your participation in Benfica Elite Training Camps, the practice sessions will take place at the Benfica Camps and the accommodations will be at the TRYP Lisboa Caparica Mar Hotel located a few minutes from the beach! Travels by bus between the hotel and training center are provided by Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Benfica Campus is the training center of SL Benfica’s two professional soccer teams, as well as six Youth Teams, comprising 120 athletes, 42 of them playing at international level, and 21 coaches.

TRYP Lisboa Caparica Mar Hotel

The 4-Star TRYP Lisboa Caparica Mar Hotel, part of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, has a relaxing and carefree atmosphere and is located right on the sea, on the largest and most popular beach in the Greater Lisbon region, the Costa da Caparica. Just 20 minutes from downtown Lisbon and the airport, it has 354 rooms placed over 7 floors, equipped with air conditioning and TV. The Tryp Lisboa Caparica Mar Hotel also has a outdoor pool, two restaurants.

Rooms will be triple with en-suite bathroom and Wi-Fi.

Methodology

The methodology applied in the Elite Training Camps will be the same that Sport Lisboa e Benfica uses in the training of its athletes, and which guarantees the sustainability of its professional squads. Through specific training that Sport Lisboa e Benfica will provide, you will be able to develop your technical, tactical, physical and psychological skills. Aspects like, running technique, relationship with the ball, tactical circulation and attacking and defensive game principles will be worked on a daily basis in both individual and collective contexts.

The training schedules will have a duration of 4 hours per day, for 7 or 14 days, and will be developed by SL Benfica’s coaches, accredited by the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol (FPF) and UEFA. There will be 3 categories (U14 to U19), each having specific technical-tactical training. In addition, you will also have the possibility of being observed and evaluated by Sport Lisboa e Benfica’s Technical and Scouting Departments.

Girls Only Session

In 2025, Benfica Elite Training Camps will have a week exclusively dedicated to Girls Soccer.

The Girls Only Session will be from July. Please see the Dates Page for session availability.

Awards you can win during your camp:

  • Eusébio Prize: best player of the week for all teams
  • Rui Costa Award: best player on each team
  • Golden Eagle: Best Goalkeeper of all teams
  • Mystic Prize: Prize for the participant with the best Commitment, Discipline, Fair-play and Attitude

Coaches

Accredited by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and UEFA, the SL Benfica coaches are decisive elements in the development of the Club’s young athletes. It will be them following your evolution in practice during Elite Training Camps.

Goalkeeper training is also available during the camp for both boys and girls. Goalkeepers will have a dedicated part of the training sessions before the beginning of the team training session, then will join the team training and games.

Coaching sessions will be done in Portuguese and English.

Technical director in charge will be Rodrigo Magalhães.
