Liverpool Football Club International Academy Soccer Schools
DAY CAMP SESSIONS ONLY (boys: 5 – 15 years old) – the large majority of participants are between 7/8 and 12/13 years old.
The Liverpool Football Club International Academy Soccer Schools has set a benchmark for the development of young players both on and off the pitch. The 56 acre Liverpool FC Academy facility is host to the some of the finest sporting and educational facilities in the country achieving category one status in the new Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) system.
Liverpool Football Club’s International Academy Soccer Schools run this Day Camp from the Academy facility in Kirkby during the summer holidays.
Up to 100 children can attend each soccer school session and will be coached in all aspects of the game over a five day course. Children will be educated in techniques such as passing, receiving, dribbling, running with the ball and shooting in a way that recognizes the ability and needs of each individual.
Liverpool Football Club International Academy Soccer Schools wholeheartedly believe that the overall development of young people can be further enhanced by spending time on their programs. Participants will be inspired with a sense of enjoyment, teamwork and respect for other children in an environment that nurtured players such as Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, who went on to not only be LFC first team regulars but role models to millions around the world.
Each course offers:
- Professional and dedicated LFC coaching in all areas of the game
- Expertly designed practices, activities and skills sessions
- Learn to play the Liverpool Way via the technical development of areas such as ball control, dribbling, passing and shooting
- Mini-tournaments and penalty shoot-outs
Every child will take home a certificate of attendance signed by Ian Rush.
Liverpool Football Club is the best club in the world.
We’re one big family club and we’ve got to give young players the best facilities and the best coaching that we can – and that’s what we’re aiming to do with our International Football Academies.
The aim of my role is to take the club to people around the world.
My primary objectives are to ensure that every person has fun, stays fit, learns life skills and develops new techniques ‘The Liverpool Way‘.
Ian Rush – LFC Legend & Soccer Schools Ambassador
Liverpool Football Club:
The most successful British team of all time.
The name Liverpool Football Club is synonymous with unparalleled success. From the early years when the Club took over from Everton as tenants of Anfield in 1892, through to the eras of legendary managers Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley, Liverpool has a distinguished roll of honor unrivalled by any other British club.
With honors including 5 European Cups, 3 UEFA Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 18 League Championships, 7 FA Cups, 8 League Cups and 15 Charity Shields, Liverpool has become one the most famous and respected soccer clubs throughout Europe and the World. The Club’s traditions and foundations were laid by Bill Shankly who became a firm favorite with the fans and helped forge a remarkable partnership between the players and the supporters. Shankly’s greatest legacy to the Club was a style of management that continued unchanged for nearly four decades, epitomized as ‘The Boot Room’ philosophy – with many of those values in place today.
The City of Liverpool:
A vibrant, inspirational place to learn, Liverpool has always been an open, hospitable and dynamic city. Over 200 years ago – when Liverpool was at its zenith as the first port of the civilized world – and ever since, the city has received people from the four corners of the world with open arms. As Europe’s ‘Capital of Culture’ in 2008, Liverpool is a city that is colorful, exciting, diverse and cosmopolitan. Liverpool has a unique history and some of the UK’s finest buildings and architectural works. It is also a creative and entertaining city with a rich cultural and artistic life – many theatres, arts centers, concert venues, museums and galleries can be found throughout the region. The citizens of Liverpool enjoy a reputation for warmth and friendliness – to which the ever increasing numbers of international visitors and students can testify!
