Soccer Coaching:

The coaching curriculum is designed and delivered by Chelsea FC Foundation, one of the world’s leading football, education and community programmes. Players are put into coaching groups by age and then, using four key factors of development; technical, physical, psychological and social, they are challenged to improve their individual skills and techniques. On-field coaching is tailored to the level of the individual and focuses on skills development through demonstration, practice and feedback. Players will improve through a combination of coaching, skills challenges and small-sided games. They leave with a better understanding of themselves as a player and gain confidence and insight from an international football environment.

Chelsea FC Training Ground – Cobham:

The highlight of each training week is a visit to Chelsea FC’s official training Center in Cobham which happens one day per week. Campers spend the day training on the pitches at Chelsea FC’s Training Centre at Cobham. The trip is enhanced with workshops.

Girls Only Sessions:

Learn what it takes to become 6-times Women’s Super League Champions like Chelsea FC Women in a girls’ specialist football camp from Chelsea FC Foundation. Sessions for girls from 12 to 17 years old will take place at Charterhouse School. Stay at prestigious private schools with top facilities and train with like-minded girls from across the world in a coaching program delivered by female coaches. Players are challenged to improve their individual skills and techniques through four key areas of development; technical, physical, psychological and social. Female coaches use demonstration, practice and feedback to tailor the program to get the best out of each player.

Goalkeeper Training (13-17 years old boys and 12 – 17 years old girls, Charterhouse):

Chelsea FC Foundation’s specialist goalkeeping coaches lead specific goalkeeper skills in one technical session each day. Goalkeepers join outfield players for other sessions to understand gameplay situations. During goalkeeper training players work on the physical and technical aspects of their position, including ball handling, positioning, shot stopping and distribution as well as psychological and social aspects of the game. During outfield training they will work on their wider knowledge of the game and put their goalkeeping skills into practise in game scenarios. Sports science workshops support on-field training.

Player Review:

All players receive an individual coaching assessment and certificate to take home. Players engage in self-reflection, as we believe this is a powerful part of the development process, giving players the autonomy to push themselves and to celebrate their own achievements. Players receive a 1:1 coaching review which demonstrates how they score against 11 key metrics that make a great Chelsea player. Players will also receive an official certificate of attendance from Chelsea FC. Those on the English Language Classes sessions additionally will receive an English report from their teacher and advice on how to continue improving their English at home.
